i plan on using aero ports on my next box for my 2 15" AQ HDC3. The box will be about 8.5 cubic feet, and wanna use an external aero port. My question is how many and what size aeros should i use?

i have some 9" aero ports for sale. would work nicely in a 8.5 cube box in the caravan.

you can also look into 2-3 6" aeros (3 6" aeros worked well in the box in my avatar, and its 8ft^3)

aero ports work good in any box just depends on what you want them for, if your going for higher spl i say go for it but for everyday they are good too but just a reagular slot will do you fine for everyday. i think.

I feel that aeros will generally always be louder then a typical slot port box. Most people want to make the most of their equipment, aeros provide that.

so what would be best. I wanna have a setup thats best for everyday bumping but yet be able to get a good score on the tl. If i have to, i can get two sets of aeros, one for everyday use and one for spl. I plan on tuning to 38 hz for everday use. I just need to know how many and how big of the aeros i should use. Whats the best site to buy them from?

8.5 cu ft is the net dimensions or gross?

gross includes the port and woofer displacement, net is

just the airspace for the woofers.

you only need 2 6" aeros for 2 15s in 8.5cF and http://www.edesignaudio.com has 6" for $30 + shipping

edit* well 3 would probly be best but 2 would also probly work

and 4 6" you need 20" long and they dont come that long

i was told 4 6" aeros is best
