Aero port size and placement...

ok i have been struggling to get this aeroport thing down. i have decided finally to do either one 8"pvc or 2 6"aeros. both will be good port area for my 4.5 cube box before displacement.

it was origianlly slot ported but i accidentilly built the port wrong dims. so i had to make do.

the slot port opening is 8" wide, can i just put a faceplate with a 8"pvc peice in there or will it be bad touching the original port wall and side wall?

also, would the 8" pvc be ok for spl burps? not daily but burps, how much will i lose to the "chuff"
