aero port placement

After some long hard research, I plan on running 2 4inch external aero ports for my Boston G5s. My question is can I stack them in the middle of the box? I have read that you need the width of the port for clearance all around the port opening. My box is only going to be about 15inches high as its going in my trunk. Thoughts?

As long as theres atleast 4" or more from end of port and the rear of the box you will be fine. i have a 6" aero in a truck box it touches the bottom of box with the side of the flare and there is no problem. its loud as hell. you can have the side of the port closer to the walls of the box you just need the mouth of the port 4" or more away.

Well they will be mounted externally(sticking out) not inside the box, but I was just worried about them being close to each other and the relativity to the top/bottom of the box.

but im sure you will get the best flow with nothing 4" around the whole end of the port, if you cant then dont worry about it.
