I need advice on the best component set for the money to run on my friends jeep grand cherokee 2003 limited.

My friend does not want to build kick pods, he would rather use factory locations. He is looking to spend in the $100-$200 range

His current setup consists of a solo baric L7 15" in 4.5cubes at 30hz, ran off a Hifonics brutus 1600w amp, he also has a hifonics Zeus 600w 2 channel amp for his highs. I ran 1/0 wire down his car, upgraded the big 3, his factory alternator is 135 amps, and he also has 2 1000amp walmart batterys.

I'm not really the best at picking out components.. Was hoping you guys could help him spend his money the best way possible, and get something that will for SURE fit his factory locations

Also should note, $200 isn't necessarily max budget.. But would like to keep it under $200.. But if you can get something thats way better for over $200, it would be considered..

Btw he will probably also sound deaden the doors with a few layer of mat.. Probably won't be going very extreme on the sound deadening though

And are there any 'fair' priced eq's out there? I spent $190 on my kicker 30 band years ago, but he doesn't wanna spend that much I don't think..

Also I don't personally think it would be worth the time to get just a 7 band eq or somthing, either want something where I can tune it all and get as flat of a response as possible, or just not even bother

Any other suggestions?

I really would rather you experienced guys TELL me what to order.. I don't want to pick as I have no idea!

I just know what brands are 'good' I don't know what the best deal is..

What would YOU order if you had to fit it in a jeep grand cherokee and wanted to spend around $200 or less and get around 100-150rms per side?

pioneer tsd1720c
Are them going to blow easily though?

Will they handle the power im going to put to them?

I personally ran elemental designs 6500 component set in my car (purchased about 3 years ago for $250) Never had any problem with my hifonics on them.. But I'd hate to recommend my friend something then have it blow on him

these sound really nice fir the price, rms is 50-230max.it all depends on his xover points on the head unit. make sure he buys deadener as well

STILL havne't got to checking his HU settings, but considering its a pioneer will prolly have a 80hz setting, and prolly set his amp to 80hz. And if he got a EQ, we'd prolly ONLY connect it to the highs, so he could run anyhting under 80hz at lowest setting...

Anyone have any other recommendations?

Also the ebayer he bought his brand new 600w zeus he got screwed.. spent a month waiting and recalled our cash..

ANyone have any other recoomendations on amps? He spent $148 on that.. Any other good brands that produce 500w+rms for that price?

We just plan on purchasing another hifonics, but if we can find a better brand at that price we'd do it..
