advantadges/disadvantages to inverterted sub loading

why should i only put the middle one inverted? and also inverting my subs would involve me turning my box towards the ceiling, is this bad?

Changing the box position will change the sound characteristics much more than inverting the subs will.

No idea what vehicle we are talking about, and even if I did, there are too many factors to consider. Usually rear firing gives a boost in lower end due to wave reinforcement, you -may- notice less of this. Traditionally firing up is considered more SQ oriented, but again it depends. Best bet is to try it and see what the results are. Until then everyhting else is just best guesses.
