i have this amp

powering these speakers in the front

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-CpS209gHQAt/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?search=db6500&i=107DB6500

and these speakers in the rear

my questions the installer had the gain completely out of whack, i have a kenwood deck which the volume went up to 35 and they had my music distorting @ 24............in my old car i had an amp with half the power same deck and it didnt distort at all, which is the proper configuration having it distort @ 24 or not having it distort @ all?

on the front compents the filter is set to flat (which im assuming is full signal)

on the rears they have HP (which blocks out the bass)

are these the right settings?

i dont have my subs installed yet so i am lacking a lot of bass should u turn off the high pass filter on the rears? thx guys

Humm, First of all can you adjust hi and low pass from you head unit? I have that amp and from my experience it is a beauty. I would set both channles on flat, and reajust your gains from scratch. Volume from head unit 3/4 and adjust gains till cliping and back off slightly. Then u should have no distortion. If you don't have hi and low pass from your head unit, I would high pass the fronts only. Keep the rears flat. Should give you much better bass.

even though the fronts can handle more power keep them flat?

is this too much power for the rears? they only handle 60 rms and its getting 111
