Adire...TC?

I'm trading my Eclipse 8443 for a Brahma MKI. I was either gonna go with a 12" Brahma, which I will shortly have, or a 12" TC-3000. I'd be going more for SQ, but still want some nice deep bass. Just wondering what some of you would choose and why?

For the price 250 plus shipping, that tc3000 is very attractive. Personally I'd rather try out the 3000 but that's just me.

Nevr heard the 3000 but from wht ppl have sed its suppose to b a low end monster....but i have heard a few Brahma setups nd i was extremely impressed w/ the SQ nd it also has sum very good output.

You honestly can't go wrong with either...but the brahma would have a slight edge with SQ. However...the TC-3000 will have much greater output.

Hmmm, it all boils down to what I'm really goin for. I want the SQ, which both have but the TC from what I've been reading and as Tuan put it has greater output. Wish I had the dough for a 12" tc3k....but i just spent a grand on other audio equipment //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif I may end up buyin the tc3000 and see which i like better, but the sale only lasts till they run out of stock.

I dont really agree with tuan entirely. I am not sure if he has actually used a tc3k or not, but it does maintain a great deal of SQ. I have a bnib tc3k i can hook you up with.. Shoot me a PM..

Are you trying to sell your TC3000 or give an opion? Have you ever owned a brahma?

The TC2+ would be more on par with the brahma in sound quality. The XBL^2 of the brahma along with the light coil gives it a definite edge. I never said the TC3000 didn't sound good...the brahma has the edge...please take your time and "read" what I wrote. If you disagree with that...then all i can say is wow.

I have owned both and you cannot go wrong with either one. The Brahma will not be as loud and does not have as much of the upper bass around 50-60 hz. They both have plenty of low end, the Brahma overall had a smoother sound IMO. The Brahma does not need as much power but if you want it a bit louder then go with the 3K.

SQ is subjective the last time I checked. You will be happy with either driver.

They are both great. Used to have MKI 15, but I only had a TC9. Just for the customer service and current company state for future repairs or assistance I would go with the TC.

meh...ive used a xxx and a 3hp motor....if i had to take a pic between a brahma and a tc3k id go with the tc.....my 3hp was louder and sounded very nice while doing it

XBL^2 drivers have a specific sound to them, some people love it and swear they'll never go back to "conventional" motor designs again, others think it sounds too "dry" and "clinical" for them.

Personally, I'd go with the Brahma. Let's face it, customer service is atrocious for either company (ignorant on TC's side, nonexistent for Adire)...so it comes down to the merits of the speakers. The Brahma simply sounds more musical to me than the TC2+/TC9 drivers I've listened to.
