Adire Shiva.. pushed by...?

ok ok, i have been reading some other posts, and they are suggested.. but.. the Product Model is 1200, the PEAK is 900? eh. ill keep looking at it, It is a lil late. Im soo tired im looking up the rating of my subs.. i just cant remember it.. i wanna figure out how to wire them.. and i just CANT do it. Haha,
actually according to the profile website they are 900w rms bridged @4ohms.....which is overkill for a shiva..... the profile cl 600 or 800 would be great for a single shiva.....

here is the site for the info.

ok than, if i can .. that helps matters alot, i dont have to get expensive amps.. to get my power. I was looking at some nice amps too, than found that Adire didnt suggest it.

Goddyd4me,

yeah it is over kill, but i might be upgrading my speaks to a couple RF's, so i want an amp that i can keep for a while.

yeah, i've been to the site.

As for Stereo, i dont know.. thats what im asking. Amps can run either mono or stereo. but i do know when when i hear a mono speaker over a stereo.. i can understand a stereo and like the way it sounds better. So my thoughts r if i can run my drivers at stereo, it would sound more than just a boom, but a good half boom or whatever. It is more versitile to have a stereo than mono system.

Plase help straighten this out.

mono is where they combine both left and right channels into one channel....sterio is right and left...for a sterio operation you'd need 2 subs......

ps....on the profile cl1200....you'd be fine w/ it so long as u had the gains turned down......

Well i have two subs... Ok, ill remember to keep them down than..

but if i can get away with running them at 2 channel.. i probably wont stick with Profile.. i think imma right Adire a email and ask them..

Any amp you choose that will provide the power you need will be fine. What's nice about higher end amps like Arc is that they are actually under-rated. In other words, you will get more power than actually rated. You will also get more features and usually a better build quality.

I would say get the jbl bp600.1, but you can get the bp1200.1 if you think you need to, but I will tell you the 1200.1 is a beast I know because I have one in the trunk of my lincoln continential. It has 2 channels to let you know. I have 2 jl audio 12w3 run off it and it slams very hard.

Yea you did, but also if you want to upgrade one day for alot more bang having the bp1200.1 would be a better choice. Keep in mind the bp1200.1 is a spl type amp. If your so into sq clarion and alpine make good amps, but they are going to be expensive also.

NOO!!!!

Yeah, im SQ.

SOB,

Well, once again, my list of what i HAD in mind.

for 2Ohm

Kicker KX600.1

JBL BP600.1 or 1200.1

MTX 6500D

US Acousitc USX 800D

Rockford 500BD'

PG Octane R8.0:1

APline MRD M500

PG Titanium 800.1 (but pretty expensive)

For 4 Ohm:

JBL 1200.1

Profile CA1200

Profile CL1200

Avionixx AXT 800.2

Avionixx AXT 1200.2

Arc Audio 1500D-R

MTX 1501D

MTX 942

Kicker KX800.2

In my opinion they all seems to have the stats i want.. the JBL has a nice frequency responce. Not knowing really that any of them were good for one or another (SQ, SPL)

Which of these is good for what? Cause im about to buy one, i was gonna buy it already

but, than the 2/4Ohm thing came up. Any finishing adise?

For the 2Ohm.. i am quite in the air, since i really havent looking to them them as much as the 4ohms.. (harder dicission)

for 4 ohm, I was looking at mostly the JBL, MTX 942 and i think the Avionixx,

The profiles seem weird to me, but i have no experience in the matter soo!, all i know is that that ARC is expensive.

Thanks guys...

I like my jbl bp1200.1 alot, because it can run lower then a 2ohm load. That helps alot when later down the road you may want to add a woofer or two. I think the Us acoutic amp would be your best buy for the money and all round what your looking for.....The alpine is expensive, but it would probably give you the best sq then the PG.

Like you'd notice a difference between the Alpine and the Phoenix Gold in terms of SQ:rolleyes:

What is your budget anyways? I mean, some of those amps listed are close to $700 - and yet you say the Arc is expensive, which can be had for about $450 - $500.
