Yeah, as i said.. It could have been the boxes, tuning, etc. alot of factors, really. However- it did leave a bad taste in my mouth for xbl^2, right or wrong Many of the people love them, however, so i may be the "off" one in this respect (although, i must wonder how many people that are in love with the drivers have actually seen, let alone heard them)//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Not bashing anyone who owns/heard them and enjoys them. more of a comment on the general bandwagon loving/hating of products by forums in general

I didnt mean to sound like I think you are off, you have your right to your opinion. In fact, I agree with you, and I do own bl optimized drivers (mids included).
I tend to believe it was the subs, at least in the case of the xxx, just not xbl^2 (splitgap) itself. Ive heard alot of people say the same thing, and sso far in my experience (running one sealed) it holds true, very little output above like 60hz. But I bought them to run with a 3-way front stage that has 8's, so it will work out very well. But yeah, when I ran one sealed, my koda 6.5's just didn't quite did get low enough to mate well with them. And koda's run pretty low for 6.5's.

It was 95Honda, theres threads about it on CSo and Forceaudio I think. He made a theater while he was over there and was good friends with Wiggins and he was SUPPOSED to get some Tempests or something specially made for him, but he never got them, blah, blah, blah.

Yes.. that seems to be the major downfall of the xbl^2 drivers (at least the ones i have heard) However.. down low, the bass was fantastic. I do like the sound of the LMS drivers, but i have my qualms with them as well. I have had the pleasure of using/hearing the new XXX's to know what that tech "sounds" like (dual coil, is it?)

those bastards took almost a year to get my B15 reconed and didn't give any type of discount. when I did finally received the sub back, the cone & surround weren't even centered on the basket correctly.
I wonder how that new ADI company they have will hold up.

That seems to be all over.. i know at one time, the then local to me shop told me that thier "demo" vehicle would walk all over my tahoe (i had 2 18" mt's off of 4 hifonics bx1500's, they had an 06 mustand with rf p3? 12's).. i love local shops
