That focal looks nice. Lots of options in that power range. I bought an Audiofrog GS 12 from the last of the stock and I really enjoy that woofer. It will bang when I want but just sounds good doing it.

I use a pair of Brahma 12 d2, wired at 2 ohm on a crossfire c7-3k.
Approx 4cu ft tuned around 30hz in a sq setup.
3 way front stage with ad w800neo in sealed kicks, hybrid x3 and x1. Each speaker powered from 2 channels of a zapco 150.6AP.
Nothing negative I can say about the brahmas. And they bang when I want them too!

Sweet setup. I have my brahma 12 in 1.2 cubes sealed. I usually go ported but needed the space. It’s not even close to being broken in but so far I like it. I’m still wanting that ported sound but need to fix my expectations. I’ll be going ported in my truck so I’ll get my fix there I hope.

nice. i think the 1.2 cubues should give you a low q around 0.5 huh?
i have an extra d2 i think i'm going to give my cousin in law to put in his camry. he'll prolly want to go sealed as well.

Something like that I guess. I went just a touch bigger on the box knowing I wouldn’t be powering it to its full potential (JBL GTR-1001). It’s in a 4Runner. It replaced that AF GS 12 ported. I might still build a ported box for it after all. Just not sure yet.

I have them in different boxes so it’s hard to say. The GS really does hold it’s own for the price I paid, under $200.

the Brahma 10 will work well. The koda is in production right now. I actually sent my old koda 10 to Andrew (owner of adire), for engineering.
man that thing was CLEAN!
It was single 4 ohm rated at 250rms and I was feeding it 500+ all day.
But it fit best in 1 cu ft sealed. For my liking, I would have liked to have 2-3 sealed for output.

the Brahma 10 works well in small sealed enclosures and will be fine on 500 watts.

But if you’re on a little tighter budget, look at the Dayton HO dvc 4 ohm sub as well.

I used to have the 15inch version, on a ma audio 1200 watt amp, and the rearview mirror jumped into the backseat dude. You would not be disappointed dude. When i saw these, i had to have them. Built by Rockford Fosgate for MB Quart. The last year of production is 2002, and then they had a three year warranty. Similar to the RF HX2 subs.
