Adire Audio Brahma 15" vs Mtx 9500 15"

I am considering both of these woofers in an spl setup... of these 2 subs... which one will respond better with 1000 w rms to it.... what type of enclosure for the brahma( i know what to mtx is ). i have never heard the brahma but they get some good reveiws....i wanna run it in a extra cab truck. i have 5 cubes to work with so i want to see which of these u guys would rate better as the spl champ....

The mtx is better suited for spl setups. The brahma is known for its sql.

Yes... ADIRE IS NOT AN SPL ORIENTED COMPANY!!!!!!!!

An MTX 9500 would work much better for getting loud, and a Bhrama may not be able to handle 1500watts. THey sound good though.

the 9500 would probably outdue it spl wise, but ive never heard one to compare. the brahma on the other hand is hands down my favorite sub ive ever messed with/owned. dear god it sounded good. perfect sq, and got loud as hell

so your saying the mtx will out muscle the brahma in spl.... but the brahma pounds like hell to.... i want to go deep.... and low but be very controlled as well... but also i wanna be heard from a good distance...... i am on the rite path.... or do u guys recommend anything else...........

A kicker L7 would work. One of the old School S15L7's can be had under 100 bucks on ebay. They pound hard.

in the words of Metallica "Sad but true". Living in a bigger city will instantly change all of that, I currently run my stock H/u just to deter sticky fingers.

So are you really going to start entering comps. with all the extra batteries, upgraded alternators, dynamat 5 layers deep etc.

or do you just want a really loud setup to cruise around town in. Because if you are not really going to compete seriously then I would go with the Brahma in a large ported box tuned to around 30hz. The Brahma in the right box will get very loud especially in an extended cab truck and sound as good as any sub out there and if you want even more output then tune it at 38 hz.

Buying an amp to drive this sub - $300-$500

Making a box for this sub - $50-$200 (depending on if you build it or not)

Installing good enough to get this loud - Hours upon days of time and Money

BUMPING IT AND SMILING FOR ROUGHLY 3 DAYS UNTIL YOUR SH*T GETS GANKED...............................................................$$$$$PRICELESS$$$$$
