Really? For every wrong one race does...there is a person in every other race who does the same thing.... black, white, hispanic thieves...serial killers...rappers...metal heads...emo's....crackheads...even redknecks....it differs person from person... point in case...you see a Gun N' Roses case...you pick it up...open it...Fuckin Hall & Oates disc inside! Judging is horrible sometimes:crap:

My dad being a (now retired) cop and growing up with black friends who were nothing more than backstabbers, I am somewhat biased to just not liking black people. I honestly judge them based on their cover, more deeply based on my past experiences. But then, after working in the mall for 3 years, you start to see that most stereotypes are true. Rich white people are bitchy, Indians are cheap and stink, Mexicans steal (but they don't say anything when they do), Blacks steal (but they usually like to strike up conversation and act like they're your buddy to try and distract you), Asians always want a discount.
My point? I judge people based on MY experiences. My philosophy in life, while very negative and pessimistic, is very realistic. If the saying "one bad apple can spoil the bunch" is true, then what that says to me is "one good apple can't save the spoiled bunch".

Just because there is an affluent, upper-class "black neighborhood" doesn't mean diddly squat. The fact that you all have to make a POINT that it is an upper-class BLACK neighborhood and not just an upper-class neighborhood, right there proves that you still buy in to America's continued racism.

I have learned to let the past go and try to not pre-judge people, but the more people I meet (of all different races and backgrounds), more often than not, I am right about them. This world is just full of selfish people and I don't think it's going to get better any time soon.

PS, just so you know I'm white/hispanic; have dated Filipino, white, Mexican and Asian girls and my "best friend" for 10 years was black. Until he decided to date my ex, right after we had broken up. Thanks man! My next 3 black friends were just as shady. I have a pretty wide range of direct experiences with many different kinds of people.

My conclusion? In general, this world is just equally fucked up everywhere, and the majority of the US population are just shady bastards!
short dude is here to address the bolded........... and as a general post to everybody

doesn't mean diddly squat to who? sir, ur clearly not aware of the particular -->general roots of the ****ed-upness in black neighborhoods. nvm, i'll summ it up like this....... WHAT THEY SEE IS WHAT THEY'LL BE.

fuvk any type of racism, when u see behavviors over and over, you'll repeat them. when u know a certain mind state and believe it to be practical for the here and now, you will imitate that mindset. if all your friends are playing basketball and football and they belive they'll get signed to a team, despite the odds against them and how wack they are on the field/ court, you'll probably try to do the same thing, ever though u have a club foot.

if u know somebody who is selling crack gets 80 - 90 percent of their problems solved via having money, well, who here doesn't think most of their problems aren't solved with money???

if you're surrounded by dentists and lawyers all your life, u see that u need to go to high school, u need to keep a 3.5 gpa, u have to go to college and its a must that you go to grad/law/med school..... anything else is out of the ordinary.

now to say that an 'upper class black neighborhood' means jack sh!t, ur completely fukin wrong!!!! its means the world to ppl have want to do better for themselves but they don't see themselves singing, rapping, throwing a ball or cookin up fishscales. it means the worl to ppl who KNOW there's more out there than hood life........ but where??? where's it at!?!?? it means the world to inmates, men and women alike, who are determined not to get pulled back in or voluntarily run back into the cycle of incarceration, but who else has been locked up with felonies and hard misdemeanors but now has a $550k house with 2 cars and retirement money all from a legitamate career?? the upper-class black neighborhood has examples.

personally, i don't believe racism is doin significant damage to the black community. i think its the mindstate of the ppl and the media that black ppl like to seek out that does the most damage. WHAT THEY SEE IS WHAT THEY'LL BE success breeds success, postin on the block breeds postin on the block WHAT THEY SEE IS WHAT THEY'LL BE

and i don't care what color u are, how many 40 second nuts u busted in 8 - 9 pumps in whatever chick nor do i care if u were friends with huey newton and amilcar cabral..........

Ah lol. Apparently I struck a nerve. Eh, you have some valid points, but you just don't have the sense to put it into words eloquently.

By your logic, every little hoodlum walking the "streets" with an Obama-tee can expect to become president one day. Because they had HOPE. Sorry bud, not happening. I grew up down the street from some of the worst neighborhoods in Oakland. I never had any direct friends get killed, but friends of friends...yup. So you're saying that a ghetto of upper class blacks who went to college and got real jobs, gives the poor welfare dependent thugs hope to get out? Why do they have to "get out" and move into another all black neighborhood? So you can all gather 'round and sing Kumbaya, thanking the Lord for your good fortune?

Why does it have to be a BLACK upper class neighborhood. Why can't you just aspire to do well for yourselves and not have to be about race?

And maybe in YOUR community people repeat what they see, but I think for myself thanks. Reminds me of a Mark Twain quote I like "when you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect why."

I don't do what everyone else does. I agree with you, to an extent, with the whole notion that people do what they see everyone else do. But you know what an all black upper class neighborhood is breeding? A mini-society of black elitists who think they are better than their thug-life brethren because they made something of themselves. And it breeds jealousy in the ghetto.

If they just aspired to do well for themselves and be a contributor to the overall good of the human race, and not just the BLACK community, the world would be a better place and racism would start to disappear. White people don't really set out to make a good living so that they can move into an all white upperclass neighborhood; that's just silly.

There's not really good way to end this post, but you would piqué my interest in responding further if you actually cared to respond with actual words and complete sentences, minus direct personal attacks (which I didn't direct to you, only my own personal experiences with a variety of people). But then again, this is the Thunderdome at CA.com, and I'm posting in a thread started to grab attention to black people, as if you/they don't clamour for enough as it is. How could I possibly expect more.

And I still say this world is just completely fucked. Every race and class has its problems and they're ALL bad. I hate everyone equally. I have absolutely no faith in people anymore. Everyone is so fricken selfish and it's really sickening to see the world in the state it is. My mom thinks it's sad I'm so cynical at 22. I've seen dudes get blasted for wearing the wrong colors, and subsequently saw those doing the blasting get blasted too. I've dated rich girls and girls who wouldn't eat at school if I didn't buy their groceries because their parents could only afford to send them to school and nothing more. Of course you will insert your "I'm black so I'm a better fucker than you with my 9" dick" comment here.

Not the point, bud. The point is I've met, known and dated a wide variety of people. Everyone had one thing in common. People only care about themselves. That's the bottom line. Maybe I don't see it as you do, because I'm not black. But from my experiences on the west coast, an elitist all Black upperclass neighborhood just instills resentment and jealousy, not hope. If those people made it out of the ghetto, then decided to return to their roots in their Jaguar and proper English, they would get torn to BITS. Moreso than some pompous white guy in his Jag who got lost in the ghetto. And you know it.

1.) if everybody wearin an obama tee wanted to become president then that would be a problem, huh? they clearly are showin support for the guy or they went with the 2008 -2009 fad of wearin obama something. you completely missed the point, maybe on purpose. just because ppl walk through macy's and see the cosmotologist doesn't mean they're automatically gonna do make-up. re-read my stuff please.

2. who goes from $15,000 a yr to $130k a year and stays in the same neighborhood?

3. ummmmm, because 80 - 90 percent of the people who live there are...........

4. it sure does. but what else does it breed? maybe a picture of success? re-read my post please.

5.) yeah, if they had a legit reason to do it, huh? but i mostly agree with you. white people don't mean to move into white upperclass neighborhoods. they just do it. but i don't hear them rushin to get into cascade heights in georgia either.

6. u can clearly understand what i'm writing. if u didn't u wouldn't respond. if u need further help with my language and dialect, nows a good time to gtfo and seek assistance
