adding ports to a sealed box

i have a sealed box holding 2 12's. ive heard that ported boxes are louder. could i install some ports into my sealed box to make the subs louder.

if its too big of a sealed box, then yes...but you lose a lot of airspace, and usually need a larger box period for ported, over sealed.

how big is thebox now? what kind of 12's are you running?

what do you want it tuned to?

you can maybe do it, if it's a goliath sealed box.. other than that just build a new box.

unless you drill holes in the subs, you should be fine.

dude, you'll need to model it up in a program or have someone do it for you. while this is possible, it would be better to make a different box designed soly for the subwoofer.
