Adding more power?

Right now I have about 800 watts going to my sub in a sealed 1.5 cuft box via a PG Xenon 600.1. I just purchased a new amp that puts out around 1300 watts, it's a PG Xenon 1200.1. The sub, custom made by David of RE using a TC9 motor, can handle the 1300 watts.

First question, should I shrink the box size down to 1.0 cuft like many are telling me to?

Second question, how much more output should I get by adding the extra power?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

ask David, he would probably know best, he built it

First off, are you going to be putting that sub into a 4-ohm load? (I know nothing of the motor/sub you speak of sorry) I was told by PG tech's that wiring my DVC's into a 4 ohm load is ideal because it is the easiest on the amp, and it produces relatively the same output at either 1,2,or 4 ohm load.

The other stuff I have no idea. What are you doing with the 600.1?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

The sub is a d4 so it will be wired to 2 ohms. And as far as the 600.1 goes it will be up for sale in a few months. It will stil be in use until I redo the trunk install.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif BTW, watch for a post on my Xenon amps in the next week or so. I have something VERY special in the works.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
