I am finally adding a frontstage to my 2003 Chevy Malibu. Before I order, I want to make sure I have everything I need to have it all work together and sound a lot better than stock. Here is what I plan to order:

Components- PG Rsd 6.5's

Amp- Profile AP400 (65x2 RMS @ 4 Ohms)

Amp Kit- KnuKonceptz eKo Complete 8AWG Amp Kit

Distro Block- KonFUSED 2 Way Distribution System KNF-12

Speaker Adapters- 4x6 to 6.5

I do not plan to sound deaden it because I do not have the funds right now. Do I have everything I need for a good sounding frontstage? Will it all work together with my current system? My current system is:

HU- Pioneer DEH-5800MP

Sub- 12" Kicker CVR

Amp- Profile AP1000M

Amp Kit- PowerAkoustic Complete 4 Gauge Kit

Knu makes some good stuff but alot of people are complaining about their distro blocks lately on some of the other forums. I can look back and see what specifically is failing on them if you want but seems to be big problem. Everything else looks fine as long as you are not spending a great deal for that amp.

Thanks for the responses so far guys. I'm glad to hear that I just need a distro block instead of the whole amp kit because that will save me about $30 and when your tight on funds like I am, the cheaper the better.

I can get the amp for $55 and from what I read about Profile amps are that they are great budget amps. The Profile amp I have now for about a year has had no problems so I am confident that the Profile amp will be good for the money.

$55 not bad for what you are using it for. But you might give the classifieds a once over to see what is there or check ebay if you do not mind buying from ebay. If still looks good go for it. Did you see what I told you about the Knu distro blocks.

Yeah, that should be it, along with speaker wire and and any connectors you might need. Also another set of RCAs.

edit: I'm using that same distro block and haven't had a single problem with it. It's good quality as far as I'm concerned.

Like I said here latley people been complaing about the Distro blocks. Don't get me wrong I like Knu stuff they make some really good stuff and for the price they are hard to beat period.

Just curious, what was it they were complaining about, specifically?

They have a lower-level, which is the blue ones, and then the black/gray colored ones. I have the one the OP listed and it works fine and is built well.

I think its a hate it or love it thing with the distroblocks. Cuse instead of the screw comming in on top to hold the wire u have the push thro and spread out the ends kinda thing. Personnaly I like the screw down to top cuse it keeps the ends together. But I see how the spreaded ends would hold better.
