ok. so ill tell you all what i have now, and what I plan to do
Class D 5-channel Memphis... about 1400w rms amp. sub is wired at a higher impedance than 1ohm so it's drawing less. I'd say about 1000w rms.
Car = 99 Subaru Legacy Outback. right now just the one stock grp 35 battery. 85 amp alternator.
Plans = Big 3. Now i'm also looking at the Carquest private label version of the Deka Intimidator, which is pretty much an Optima Yellowtop. I cant exactly fit this battery in the stock place, and im not about to rewire the battery cables. So i'm thinking why not put the Deka in the back?
Questions = How do I add the battery to the back? Will it charge itself through the alt? What size cable am I going to be running and from where to where? Right now I have 4 awg running from the battery in front to the amp in back. Thinking of using this same wire to go from the new Deka battery in the back to the amp in the back. And was thinking of using the rest of it to do the Big 3. Would the 4 awg cut it for either jobs?
thanks
