500 bucks. Plus the five dollar phone call they have to make. so 505. well a lil more with tax.

Yea. So far everything that has happened to other techs has happened while they are standing at their truck. Rather than in it. They dont do much when youre driving by. At least not much around here. So what ever happens will be outside of the truck.

I still want to pick up one of those myself. In the car though I carry a pistol grip (for its shorter overall length) mossberg. Its not expensive & would get the job done just fine. In home Im looking at a Remm. 870 tactical with a knoxx stock & a few more minor add ons.

Do you guys not think that if you need a friggin gun in your truck to do your regular job (i.e. your not a security guard) that either

1. Find a better job

2. Move!

For starters, alot of the people here dot have the money it takes to move away to a better place.

The jobs dont get much better around here either. You take what you can get.

Ive seen plenty of close calls, once in my car. I had a man being chased by the police (on foot) running toward us with a machete & (get this //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif ) a sharpened broom stick. He got tazed half stride & hit the floor about 15yards away from us. That was less then 2 months ago.

A cross guard less then 10 sec driving distance away got shot twice for no reason (none that I can make sense of anyway) about 1 week ago.

Today an officer got shot less then 3 miles from my work & less then 1 mile from were I live, and get this. I dont live in a bad area...at all! I work in an oddball block called "the sqaure" which is one of the worst areas in town but at home its quite 99% of the time. Im not really worried about anything at home, but at work who knows.

We have ppl tweaked out walking by ALL day long, on 3 occasions we had to actually persuade them to leave.

Once we had to call the cops because some woman who was totally eyerate wouldnt leave, plus she was ***** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif and wouldnt stop trying to break things, so the customers werent taking too kindly to her //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif til this day I have no idea wth that was about. She got picked up by a guy in a truck before the police showed up.

Luckly ive never had to resort to shooting someone. Im not taking any chances though.

I wouldnt leave it out in the open while your truck is parked. Expect your truck to get broken into and expect to be responsible for whatever bad happens when the crackhead who steals it kills someone with it.

Id keep it hidden somewhere, but you would need to get a permit.
