Adding another battery

I got a question I going to have at max 4.5k watts and I was told to add the extra battery but iheard I should run a positive and a neggtive from the from to back and then add a battery isolator. But then I also heard I could just do the positive run from front to back and ground the battery in the trunk. Which should I do and which is best

 
With 4500 watts you better be adding more than just ONE battery, your going to want at least 3, maybe 4 plus an HO alt. I'd be running at least 2 runs of 1/0 (both + and -) from the front to the back. Not to be mean but it sounds like you really lack the knowledge to run such a large system.
