Adding another battery

I got a question I going to have at max 4.5k watts and I was told to add the extra battery but iheard I should run a positive and a neggtive from the from to back and then add a battery isolator. But then I also heard I could just do the positive run from front to back and ground the battery in the trunk. Which should I do and which is best

ditch the isolator.

no isolator, run + front to back, and just make a good ground in the back by the battery.

You need to run cables for positive and for negative. Do not use the body. 4500 watts... you should probably double up wires.

With 4500 watts you better be adding more than just ONE battery, your going to want at least 3, maybe 4 plus an HO alt. I'd be running at least 2 runs of 1/0 (both + and -) from the front to the back. Not to be mean but it sounds like you really lack the knowledge to run such a large system.
