Adding another 15" Brahma to my system...

Hello..

After removing my rear seats and installing a rollbar, I have decided to make use of the extra space and upgrade my audio system...

I'd like to squeeze some more bass out of my system.. and I mean low-end extension, not SPL. Would adding another 15" Brahma increase the bass output or would it simply increase the SPL....

you already have a brahma 15 so its not like the SQ is going to get boosted by adding another another one, you are just going to have 2 15'inch brahmas doing the same thing, just louder

Not really looking to boost SQ though.... just lower-extension.

C'mon guys! Any one care to provide an answer???

I'm looking to either add another subwoofer or ditch Adire and look for a nice 18" sub to provide the deeper bass... i'd really like to know before ditching my Brahma.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Is your subwoofer in a sealed box? If so, why don't you port it? I mean, a 15" ported... It's can't get much lower than that... Well, it can, but there is no possible reason to try to go any lower.

agreed. play a bass test on your 15". wait till the test plays an 18Hz tone or so. you should see the sub moving, but you can't hear a **** thing. if it does this, then it can play any note you would like. just port the box to a low frequency. this will basicly but an accent on and around the tuning frequency and make it louder.

Try porting the 15". It'll go lower than your hearing is capable of picking up... It'll rattle you around, but you won't hear much besides your vehicle shaking...
