adding an extra battery

I bought a Kinetic HC800 and i'm going to put it in the trunk. I just have a few questions on how to hook it up. I don't know much about electrical systems so sorry if these seem like common sense to you guys.

I just connect both batts with a positive wire right? Or do i need a negative too? Or can i ground the negative to the chassis from the batt in the trunk?

And then the amp positive and negative power wires would just go to the batt in the trunk right?

And where would i put the fuse? Do i need more than one?

you only need the positive run from the front battery and make sure you put a fuse 18" from front battery and likewise on the rear battery.

and yes run wires from rear battery to amp and fuse between that too.

Thanks. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif So then i ground the negative from the rear battery? That diagram says to just run a whole negative wire but you said i don't need to and that seems unnecessary

alright. I'm still not sure on if i'm gonna ground the negative or run it to the front battery.

But **** this sucks. I need to buy 2 more fuses and some new wire if i connect the batts with a negative. Where would you guys suggest to buy fuses and wire?

how do you even figure out how big of a fuse to get? I got a RF T10001BD and I got the kicker 1/0 amp kit. It comes with a 300 amp fuse. And i need to get 2 more and i was gonna get 300 amp ones but isn't it bad if the fuse is too big or no? And if so, what size fuse do i need for the RF T10001BD?

you can ground the rear to the frame but the best results will be to run back to the front battery. Make sure you do a big 3 upgrade on the front also.
x2. i asked to do a neg run or grd to chassis when i was doing a second batt. and got 50/50 on each one. i did the neg run anyways cuz i felt it would be better and i think it was a good decision
