Adding an amp to a Stock Chevy Avalanche

A friend of mine wants me to install a pair of 12" subs and an amp into her new Chevy Avalanche. I have installed quite a few stereo systems before but never with the factory stereo. So my questions are: Will i be able to use RCA cables? or will i have to use Speaker level inputs? if so how do i wire those (never gone that route)? Also has anyone ever taken the head unit out of an avalanche? what is the correct procedure for removing it to wire the amp to it?

dont waste your time,the SQ and signal loss of using a stock HU will be most dissapointing

For a pair of subs? I don't think so. With a decent LOC there's no reason they can't sound just fine, if they're installed correctly.
