Adding an Alternator?

I'm going to buy a new vehicle soon, just a cheap one, mine isn't going to last. I"m buying the same vehicle because I can use the majority of what works on my older one as backup. Now the vehicle I have atm, has a new battery and 105 Amp alternator, it can't power both my stereo and the vehicle electronics, so I can't put it up loud, maybe 65-75% of what it could. But I wanna put this alternator ALONG with the one that comes in the vehicle I will buy, so my 105 Amp Alternator and battery will just run my stereo.

Now where is a good location to put the alternator? Take a pulley out and put it there? I`m not a fan of AC if I could remove my AC and put it there, if that's the best spot to put it then I`m willing to do that. What kinda weld should I do for the mounts for it? Do I have to wire it into the vehicle, or just ground it and put it straight to my second battery?

Well the alternator is from a astro van, the vehicle I'm looking to purchase will either be a blazer another astro van or suburban, so sorry I guess I can't be helped with this question yet. I would like to know my other questions though;

What weld should be used? And do I just ground the alternator and send the positive to the 2nd battery, or do I need to wire the alternator into the system also?
