Adding Amp and Sub to Factory System...not happy with it.

Oh well...if that's the case, I might as well just sell my box and amp and spend the money just upgrading all my factory speakers and saying to help with an aftermarket amp and sub. I didn't realize it was going to be hundreds of dollars just to get a little extra thump from my factory system.

kicker sum 8 or JL fix can work but yeah cheap LOCs do nothing and audiocontrol falls into that category.

worst part is, this EXACT scenario is going to plague new car owners from upgrading sound. Unless, stupid expensive through a car audio shop. Thats because the heated seats, cooling steering wheel etc. is all controlled from the factory HU. imho, I dont like integration on this level

I know right. I had to keep my factory unit for just those reasons. I know that the audiocontrol is frowned upon, but it has worked for me and what I was needing. Good luck op, it sure is getting more expensive with these newer cars.

Got my LC2i today and installed it. All I can say is....what a difference! I'm really surprised. The bass output is easily doubled if not more. And my bass boost is all the way down on the amp and the gain is set to half, instead of having to max everything to get some bass. It hits so hard that my rearview mirror won't stay in position anymore due to the vibration. I am totally happy with it now. Thanks guys!
