i was wondering i figured i would ask on here i have a battery in the back and its grounded to the front battery, and the front is grounded to the frame of course,so i was wondering is it a good or bad idea to add another ground to the back battery from the chassis of the vehicle in the back.

will it help voltage at all or will it cause worse problems

i am planning on it but i figured i had like a piece of 1/0 only bout 1ft that i could use to make another ground in the back off the back battery to the chassis and i was wondering if it would do anything or no

It won't help if you're already running a dedicated 1/0 from front bat to rear bat. The greatest help you can do for your system is upgrade the alt to bat positive and alt - (engine block) to front bat -.

You'd only ground the rear bat to chassis as a backup incase you lose your negative 1/0 run connection. It could help save your equipment, as it is possible if your 1/0 negative became disconnected that the amp may try to ground through your RCAs, possibly frying your HU.
