I feel a bit out of place here cause I'm a home theater guy but I'm sure you cats can push me in the right direction. I've learned VERY quickly in that field that internet direct companies most people have never heard of usually smoke the overpriced bull**** found in big box stores in price and quality. I'm not looking for retarded SPL levels but I would like to blare **** from time to time with good bass response. I'm more into sound quality but I fully understand with my budget I'm probably dreaming. I'm hoping to replace all the stock speakers and head unit plus add a sub(s). If any of you know the car, 2006 Acura CSX, it's got a built in deck so I'll also need one of those custom harnesses. I'm in Toronto so I'm guessing shipping will be a ***** but I could always pick the stuff up in Buffalo if it came down to it.
-I'm looking for a head unit that can handle .FLAC via USB and not just the standard .AAC and .MP3 file format
-I don't want to fill the trunk so a single 15" or maybe dual 10" subs would be ideal (I think...) but the 15" would have to be musical still and not a one note pony.
-I'd love one amp to handle all 4 speakers plus the sub but I don't even know if that exists...a four channel plus a mono I'm guessing will be my route.
