Actual MPG's of 8 cyl's

I have a 1998 Mustang with a 3.8 and I only get about 11-13 MPG. It blows Im lucky to get 150 miles out of a full tank. I do have a ton of stuff in it tho.

Sorry to thread jack, but I think its crazy. I got the car new in 98 and it got around 300 miles to the tank no prob. Needless to say, I don't drive it that often these days.
those tail lights add HP...NOT MPG

but an 03 z06 vette gets around 30 on the interstate

About 16 City and 23 Highway with my two MN-12 cars.

96 TBird 4.6L V8 SOHC

95 Cougar 4.6L V8 SOHC

However, with the added weight in the cougar im lookin at about ~15 and ~21

'98 3.8L V6 [Mustang Coupe]

3-5 MPG. No leaks that I can see. Fresh oil, air filter about 100 miles ago, spark plugs a while back... No add-ons, and I only have a moderate amount of weight in the back [2-10", 2 amps, one box]

Something's wrong //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I drive to / from school every day [10 miles round trip] plus some extra driving occasionally and I use up 1/4 a tank per day.

But I wanna get a V8-something. I was thinking of buying a high-performance V8 or a HO V6 S/C'd... odds are I'd get better MPG

i wish i got good gas milege, my 98 explorer V-6 gets, (according to the lil digital readout)11.3 mpg, thats average with a lil city and a lil hwy. and im not rough at all. it effin blows its like 100 a week in gas for me.
