Active with new Rainbow/Alpine setup?

I got the following setup on the way or already here:

Amp Install Kit: KnuKonceptz 4 Gauge : http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDe...?prodID=KCA-K4

My question is i can go active with this setup correct? I was thinking i could wire each comp speaker to the amp run 3 pairs of RCAs front, rear, subwoofer active. And then possibly run the rears off my HU? It seems like this should work and sound pretty darn good as well. The PDX-5 seems like a very easy amp to set my crossovers up and get the most out of the kickbass comps.

Thoughts?

Yes, you can active with that set up. Nice gear btw

The head unit nor the amp have crossovers high enough for active tuning...your going to need a 3 way crossover.

I thought the PDX amps were active capable?

The highest it goes is 400 Hz....need something from 4-5k for active,plus a bandpass for the mid..

Thanks for the input. I figured i should just trust that the passive xovers by Rainbow are probably pretty quality anyway. I'll start a new Build Log Thread when i start putting this thing in and keep you guys updated on how it sounds. Really stoked to hear this equipment together
