Total misconception by the OP here, you are thinking of taste wrong...
The alignments of a person's taste buds are only influencial to the intensity of certain taste sensations they have absolutley nothing to do with what tastes good or bad to a person.
All tastes are aquired. The process of aquiring a taste is mearly becoming familiar with a food.
The foods that a person does not like are the ones least familiar to them.
So if you are asking, no cause i've liked things I've never tried before, It is always because that food has one or a combination of familiar flavors. The more familiar a taste becomes, the better it tastes untill you become tired of it.
When you are a baby, your brain has over twice the synapses as when you are an adult, and its essentially very flexible. During this time it is easy to make a babies mind more familiar with different tastes so he will be less picky when he gets older.
There is an exception. Nearly 95% of people have refused to try a food because of the way it looks.
Edit: second thought, don't quote me on that 95% i'm not sure if i'm remembering that figure correctly
