ACDrive / Phatnoise USB HU Opinions

For those of you who own a Kenwood X590, X890, or any other HU with ACD/PhatNoise, I would really like to hear your opinions.

I bought a new KDC-X890 on the cheap, and before I install it I was curious if other owners are happy with the Phatnoise/USB integration.

The Phatnoise 5 search options is a huge plus, but is the software/integration with USB any good?

Love it? Hate it? Pros? Cons?

Any info would be great.

Do you have to use ACD/Phat Noise to use the USB interface? I just bought a used x890 on ebay.

I have a Kenwood DPX701 HU and use the PhatNoise software. I love it. It is pretty simple and so far not a single problem with it. I have been using two 2 gig Sony Flashdrives and a 1 gig MicroCruizer flash drive. From what I have seen, it is best to use the PhatNoise software so that it reads the song titles/artists, etc correctly and seems really easy to navigate from the head unit that way.
