ACDelco reputation for High Output Alternators

What is everyone's thoughts on ACDelco brand for high output alternators? I found a dealer offering 200-350A alternators with a 1 year warranty.

Im running a Massive N3 amp @ 1400 RMS and 2 x 10" Kicker L7s @1200 RMS

I dont think my stock 105A alternator will cut it.

I have the 1/0g big 3 and an XS Power D3400 battery already

Appreciate your opinion on the ACDelco brand as well as recommendations for the amount of amperage in the alternator I should get.

umm they should do what they are rated for but one thing to consider is that most alt companies associated with car audio generally design their alt to make power at lower rpms which is what is needed for park and pound sessions, now if the only time you listen is when you are driving at 2500+ rpm they work fine for you

so u sayin its best to get alternator with high volts at high rpms for daily listener

no, i always say get the highest amperage at the lowest rpm that you can afford, but if you do nothing but highway driving you can get away with a cheaper alt that makes the same power at higher rpm.

higher voltage can be catastrophic to factory components, though higher voltage means more power for certain amplifiers. you would need step down modules to change the voltage back to the 12-14v range that the factory components need.

if you opt for a cheaper alt that does its power at higher engine speeds i would suggest a big battery close to the amps to take the large amperage draws from stop signs and redlights

well i have xs power battery in rear and stock alt and battery just tryin to see the cheapest way to keep my electrical up to par for a amp around 1500 2000 watts
