.......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif dude gets in a argument today with me about how anal you should be about wiring car audio stuff because of risk of damaging shit. Then proceeds to tell me I have my batteries ran all wrong and all this...first I cut him off saying bro Im pushing 2000+ nicely and my voltage maintains well, did proper testing to ensure it did. Still gets on me, i grabbed my cup and straight said hey man i gotta get back to work, no arguments here you know..left.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

He was saying something about what wire(+ or -) should come from which battery in the back to the amp. like even though ASSUMING u have your shit buss barred or wired together(+'+'s and -"-s across the bank) isn't the current the same across your bank no matter where you pull from? Unless your hitting right off the charge run from the front?

should be the same. if they are parallel, they are essentially 1 battery, with the added capacity.

ask dude exactly how HE would do it. then if he fawks that up, you know he is full of shit.

huh?

daisy chaining FTW, if it be with wires or buss bars.

well its a snooty school(40k+ a year school) ****ing kids arent use to endulging in a proper conversation without trying to call someone a liar or make themselves seem higher than you. Guess they fail to see basic electrical wiring.

if i am talking to someone and car audio comes up, i try to avoid it. but if it becomes the conversation and i'm talking about something I KNOW is right, and dude says i'm wrong i just let that shit go. as long as they don't touch my shit, or ask me to fix their fialride when it cooks i'm good.

but my friends know i know wtf i'm talking about if i am telling them something. they all come to me for help, or to fix/hook up shit.

How are your batts set up?

chained back and forth then grounded and power wire from front applied...

I said something about liking to have a 2nd run from the front to better maintain(only thing i thought at the time my system could be lacking). told me that wouldn't make a difference at all.

ok i have a dumb question since we are on the subject of batteries. Is an isolator needed to run more than one batt? i said no but the dude argues with me and says if i dont run one it will f*** my batts? whos right whose wrong?

doesnt that help you to keep or maintain charge of your extra bat(s).?..

Unless you are pulling close to or above 300A, and you're running 1/0... then no, it likely wouldn't make any difference at all.

To answer your first question, if you have 2 batteries in the trunk and they are wired in parallel, then it won't matter if you're amps are connected to battery X or battery Y.

Isolators are NOT needed in car audio at all, unless you run your system with the car off. Isolators are just large switches that disconnect your starter battery to keep the system from draining it.

Yes its supposed to help maintain the charge of the starter batt. but i never listen with the key on and car off. he told me that if i didnt have an isolator between them that they would eventually short eachother out. i was like wtf ever dude im out. the way i see it is my dads diesel tuck has 2 batts and NO isolator so how could that be any diff?

Oh and another thing. would mixing batts, like brands and sizes hurt anything? i got conned into buying 2 stinger batts, and im not paying that price again. so would it hurt?
