Hey all...
After trolling these forums for about three months now I think I’ve done enough research to get started. Before I start buying materials I have a few questions that would help me make some important decisions.
First of all, I drive a 2005 sebring 4door (old man car ftw). Since the back seats fold down, I can either have my subs firing towards the rear of the car, or into the cabin. This will be my first system, and I want to do everything (box building, wiring, installation etc.) myself.
My preference would be having the subs firing into the cabin so I can make a fake wall behind it and have a very small but clean trunk, but before I proceed I want to make sure that doing it this way will let me get around the same SPL levels that having them fire towards the back would.
Since this is my first time, I’m planning on buying 2 12" Type R’s ported so I can get a feel of what I like sound wise.
My second question is if this type of design is alright, how would I go about getting plans for building this enclosure?
