About to bondo door Panels!

dont get too carried away, keep it pretty thin. You just wanna fill in the uneven spots.

Correct, i made soem fiberglass door pods and i need to smooth them out. Do i sand the fiber glass first?

i would it will require you to use way less bondo

Scuff the glass with 80 grit. Bondo in low spots and contours and sand with 80 also.

Then milkshake it!

1 part bondo 5 parts resin. Equal hardeners and mix to paintable filler or pour.

Sand the fiberglass first. Apply bondo in thin layers, just enough to fill holes. Scrape it on so that there's no extra. Sand it. Repeat as you find necessary. Milkshake it if you plan on painting.

Putty knives will work fine if you have any. Getting a plastic body filler applicator is nice though.

If you brush too long it will leave strokes but you can tell. I prefer pouring small pieces like tweeter pods and kick panels I painted it on for my panels it goes a little further that way.

Use the premium lightweight filler. It goes on smoother and sands much easier. It is worth the extra money. Use regular bondo for the first layer and ultra light after that.

forget bondo. throw it away. first layer after glass i used duraglass, after that rage gold. the results are much much better.
