you sturrin at me brah?
i've got the front doors in my explorer all stripped down right now. is it really necessary to weld metal plates over the holes, or can i just do double layers of deadener or something? thing is, i'm not a welder and its kind of a pain to get plates welded over the holes, plus it would be permanent (what if my window falls off the track or something?)

how far down do i need to strip it? do i need to remove the window, track, motor assembly, or would i not really notice a difference from leaving a few really hard to get to places undeadened?

i was just kidding. actually though it wouldnt be too bad an idea, cut out plates to fit over the holes and tape the shit out of em. if you can't duct it, **** it. i dont want to weld anything, and if i seal it up, i can't very well hold a nut on the backside to bolt it down.

im also i the process of deadening my doors. I deadened all around the major holes. Im just waiting ot go over to my grandpas so he can cut out the MDF BUt i was wondering if 1/2" was to thick, and should i use liquid nails to adhere the mdf to the frame?
