???? about running 16v system

im thinking of getting the kinetik hc 16v battery( http://www.kinetikaudio.com/hc16v.asp) and running a highout put alternator that battery has a 12v post and a 16v post, so i belive i could hook up my alternator to the 12v side and hook my amps up to the 16v side, ima b running two poweracoustik a3000db amps, so do you all think the 16v would hurt the amps any, and would the 12v side of the battery hooked up to the vehicles electrical system and the 16v side hooked up to the amps work, never done this before, any help is greatly appreciated

How you going to charge it to 16v you need a 16v alt as well

that will not work ...you will need to be hooked to 16v from the alt ....16 v battery will not charge from the 12 v post ....so you idea will not work

i was afraid of that, i had no idea, so id have to go with a 16v alt, and get like a inverter for the rest of the electronics on the vehicle or something,

or run dual alts. That is your best option.

that prolly would be the best bet, figure out a way to run dual alts, yea there is plenty of coal mines and strip jobs around here, so would the 16volts hurt my amps any power acoustik a3000db's

dual alts or a 16V alt with a step-down module on your 16V batt
