?about red ring of death!!

Havent read the other pages but mine did it and i did the towel wrap thing and it worked fine for like a week than it happen again and i called XBOX and they sent me a box to ship it in and i got it back in like 3 days....actually they sent me a whole new one didnt bother fixing mine

And i traded someone for it and it was out of warranty...sooo BAM new xbox:D

I think my build date on the back was like 2005 or something on the old one

 
My Wii, of all things, crapped out. Started artifacting like a mofo. And the disc drive sounds like a chainsaw at times, luckily not treating my discs as such. Nintendo does the prepaid shipping to them as well. No biggie, and the tech on the phone*American, not "Andy" from India on MS* didn't even ask me questions. I think the fact I said "artifacting" signified I knew wtf I was talking about and had done anything possible to narrow it down.

so apparently when you get "upper management" that means you are directly connected to the repair center and you talk to ACTUAL ENGLISH SPEAKING PEOPLE!!!!! it was amazing he gave me his private email addy and direct phone number......nonetheless still the same process but he said instead of getting mine and sending me a refurb they will actually take mine apart, upgrade it with 07 parts and send me mine back directly.....well my refurb back directly that is....

said i should have it back in about 2 weeks....

 
5 days, still no box....for some reason they are sending it fed ex and not ups......not getting it till wednesday....he swears ill have it back by christmas......im beyond mad now.....this is just ridiculous.

 
I didnt read that much into this so i dunno if its been said or not but i got the 3 red lights the day before the extended warranty took place so i decided to open my xbox up voiding the new warranty the next day //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. Anyways if you dont get a new one which yo probably will there is a solution. not only did i send it in, the one i got in return was defective out of the box and getting a new repair order has taken 2 weeks!!!! havent had a working xbox since mid october..... sure would like to play halo and call of duty.....
