ok just got a hifonics 1605......what size wire do i need to run for power and for ground.......also what is a good place to ground.........have a 01 camaro

4 gauge will be fine. ground it to a seatbelt bolt or a nice big bolt in the trunk. just sand away paint for a solid connection.

If you want to be really sure, run a jumper from the negative post of your battery to one DMM lead, use the other to check ground continuity. If you get a reading very close to zero ohms, go for it.
