I don't think he meant people who use screws are noobs but people who think that they are the main structural support of the enclosure. If you believe that, you may just be a noob!

I don't need to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif I never have my MDF split when I predrill with a 1/16 bit.
What size do you normally use, 1/8?
1/8 or 7/64 only. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I didn't say that "if you use them your a n00b"!What I said was "if you think the screws are the main fastener not the glue your a n00b."I said I use screws myself. So I would e calling myself a n00b.
I knew what you were trying to say, but thats just now how it read //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I was just messing around anyways.

ONLY. Really? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Hell yeah son, you want to predrill the diameter of the shaft of the screw. The flange is what does the actual gripping, so the less the main body of the screw has to push on, the better. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif I wasn't talking to you anyway; I don't think I need to tell you how to assemble an enclosure.

I used the square heads on hot tubs, strip the bejesus out of them!
hmmm, thats strange. Thats part of the reason I still use them, I have 0 problems with stripping. Were you using the square bit? Some of the screws have a "combo" head, which has a square drive and a phillips. If you try to use the phillips, they ****.

square head, #2 bit. Most of the screws we use on them are like that. The Hot Springs rep said there's no possible way we can strip them, I proved him wrong. Not on purpose though.
