? About Alpine CDA-7995

OK, I've never used an Alpine before, and I'm just keeping my figers crossed that I forgot to do something in the settings....

because I just sent back a bad H.U. (premier) and if something is wrong with this, I may have to shoot someone.....

I wired everything up this morning, hit the power button and on comes the radio. Loud and clear. Now, I decide to put a CD-R in that I have. It's going through the motions, making it's noises, and the display shows the disc is playing, but there is no sound. None, not even static....hmm.....thinking maybe it's the cd-r. I get out an original cd, pop that in, same thing....no sound.

Now I'm starting to get upset. I just sent back a bad h.u., and this isn't playing back cd's.

I'm hoping I forgot to do something...like change a setting. This is my first Alpine, so lend a hand.

Before I shoot the ****ed thing.
