ABout 8 " subwoofer , like the W8 ?

Ok, I have been considering the experiment of using 8" subwoofers.

I have seen eternal designs, and DD's .. I also seen the JL w7 8 version here online only not in person.

How loud do these things get ? Can just 2 of them get pretty loud ? Anyways I am just wanting some peoples take on 8's.

you weren't around when the 18 8's were built, and everybody went nuts wanting 8" speakers.. lol

It been. Just for those that actually heard or owned one. People assume that just because it's an 8" it "cant" get loud. You don't always need to have a bigger size sub to get loud. With the proper setup and enclosure, most def, can get LOUD.

I'll be picking up 4 of my 8s tomorrow.

JL8W7's can get pretty loud and low given the proper enclouse. I kinda miss mine....NOT!
