But unlike a bandpass, you're not driving the separate chamber with the driver but rather with the port resonance. It does add more cone control as the resonance of the second chamber does still cause a high pressure zone to limit excursion but the driving force isn't as great as when the sub is firing into both chambers. So really, you don't get the extra peak at the higher tuning frequency but just the cone control.higher order bandpass is where its at.
