Eh, it's really not worth your time if the sub has a decent amount of throw.

Those are two completely different enclosures.

The only thing the ABC enclosure does is basically keep cone excursion down to a minimum over a two sets (or more) of frequencies instead of one. You will not usually see a rise in output around the upper tuning like you would think though. It's really a disappointing design that takes up too much space.

But unlike a bandpass, you're not driving the separate chamber with the driver but rather with the port resonance. It does add more cone control as the resonance of the second chamber does still cause a high pressure zone to limit excursion but the driving force isn't as great as when the sub is firing into both chambers. So really, you don't get the extra peak at the higher tuning frequency but just the cone control.

That is exactly what I noticed when I built mine.

all i can tell you is there are a few extreme competitors with 6th order bandpass boxes peaking ~60hz notes, and can play daily music with the same box. and doing over 170db at the same time.
