I always wanted to try these subs out, and let me tell u, they slam and sound awsome. I put them in my hatch to test and the box was a little big for the hatch and my motor is done, so i put them in our explorer and its the best sounding subs ive heard. So, they will probly end up in the audi if they fit. The box is 4cubes, ignore the brownish paint, the lid was black, but it came out brown. so i will get more pics when i get everything in the audi.

Nice box. I was looking into them, but a little too big for my space.

Have you heard those 2 subs in a different box to compare?

3 even length port tubes. 2 chambers, the bigger one holding the sub. 1 pipe for each chamber and one pipe connecting the 2 chambers. Just from what I read.

same design as a Bose home audio subwoofer enclosure.
Except it uses a real sub unlike that paper crap bose.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

The general ABC enclosure ...
Two chambers : One is 2/3 of the total volume, one is 1/3 of the total volume

Three ports : All the same size and length. One in each chamber and one to connect the chambers

An ABC enclosure, as you may have guessed, has two tuning frequencies. Since there is two tuning frequencies, it generally equates to better cone control at and between those two frequencies. This is known as its pass band. You can stray from the guideline and try out your own ABC enclosures. Like any other bandpass enclosure, a wider pass band will have lower output but a flatter response and better SQ or you can use a narrow pass band for greater peak output.
You beat me to it......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Also known as a 'DCR' enclosure or "dual-chambered reflex".

It is true that this type of box limits excursion even more than a regular ported enlcosure, especially within the range of the two tuning frequencies. This is ideal for low-excursion woofers, as you can allocate them more power without screwing up the suspension......not saying it won't reach it's thermal limits though.

Only bad thing......not one bit louder than a regular ported enclosure.
