AB400.1 battary needs

I realize that. That's why I will have a 220amp alt with a voltage regulator and a step down unit so i can run the 12 volts for my car. When I say use lightly I mean I wont be going over half volume until I have another 2 battery. I have to break my woofers in first anyways. I just wanted to make sure there wouldn't be a problem with just the 2 battery's being ran at 16 volts. I wasn't sure if the amp would draw more amps with it being ran on 16 volt.

The amp is going to draw as much power as it can, how much it draws only depends on you and your electrical. There's so so so many variables that come into play(just how hard you're leaning on that volume knob and just how strong your electrical is...), and realistically you would probably be okay for short periods running full tilt, although I wouldnt much suggest it. watch your voltage - - - that is key.

I think you'll be fine, just don't go around beating on her until you have a few more batteries to back her up with.

Thanks a lot. I have a LOT of money in this system right now and the last thing I want is paying to have things repaired. I'll start a build log in a month and then post some vids. I'm hoping for a 150 on music at least.

You should be fine in the mean time. Just watch your voltage and don't push your luck until you get more batteries. Anything 3KW and up will draw a ton of current at full tilt.
