I know for a fact that this amp does 2k rms at 12.5V at 1 ohm. That is straight from Bob's mouth because I was getting called out for cheating by using this amp in comp and we had to contact bob to clarify. The website says 2900RMS @ 1 ohm but does not say at what voltage (I wanna say 16V). Ive seen this amp up close and personal ran at .25 ohm and .5 ohm and taking it. I was just running it off stock alt, stock batt, no big 3 and KHC-1200. I swapped my old PH4000MD to the 150.1 and instantly gained 1.6db

I would get it in a heart beat though. Especially with the gold case cause they are not common anymore so it holds value. Not to mention you can put that VFL through hell and back and it will take it all day long.

someone is selling one by me on craigslist for $200. could i run it at 4 ohms on a stock alternator, duralast gold and 4 guage? also got a 1 farad stinger cap but i dont think that helps.

For $200, that's a steel. Grab it no matter if you can use it now or not. I am pretty sure it can handle a 4 ohm load but that is something to ask the manuf. Stock alt and duralast battery should be ok but do yourself a favor and do big 3 upgrade if you have not already. you might as well use that stinger cap as a paper weight because that's all it is good for and swap that 4ga to 1/0 as well. You will thank me later when you plan to upgrade. Dont forget, it can always be wired down to another gauge one way or another.
