I can't seem to find a whole lot of info on them...

from what I gather (if they are like the SPL D5) they will do 4700w at 1 ohm....

are these the typical AB's that can take even lower ohm loads daily?

has anyone benched these to see what they will do?

I know they are bada$$ amps but to what extent I have no idea...

I just figured what everybody had to say about them on here...

I am thinking of using them but want to see what I cqn expect from them...

From the horses mouth (bob) they will do more power then the 400 obviously, but with less current draw and a higher % efficent, and they will do 0.5, but its not suggested on these!

I had 1 in my car to test. But it was strictly SPL. They do draw a whole lot of current. For daily...it would be a great amp. SPL wise...there a couple that might do a better job....depending on your application.

what might you suggest than?

I am aiming to get around 8000w for my new street beat setup....

power draw will be taken care of....

obviously my goal is to make it a spl setup that sounds good in a daily application... street beat=enough said.

back on topic though...with alts and batts...I should have plenty of power....

but I need around 8 to 10kw for my subs....

If multi-amplifiers aren't a problem...I'd go with a bunch of smaller efficient amps and strap them together. DD amps are really efficient, also try Orion 2500D's or amps of that caliber.

any other recommendations on amps i might look at besides the orions?
