Ok i made the mistake of buying a 4ohm type r 12 instead of a 2 ohm so now i have to run a 4 ohm amp! Which is harder to find so the A8000T amp would be a great candadite what do you guys think? Do you guys think itll push the 12 and hold up to the power?

What is your budget, I would try to stay away from Audiobahn, I just have had a bit of a problem with their amplifiers.

only looking for 200, from what i have heard the a800t isnt bad BUT i know i could do better but it would break me budget! Any suggestions would be appreciated, i know some real good 2 ohm ones but there really expensive for you know what im after!

Dont u mean a dual 2 instead of a Dual 4 all Alpines other that the type E dual Voice coil....Dual 4= 2 or 8 ohm load.....dual 2 ohm = 1ohm or 4 ohm....

what are you saying did u get a dual 4 ohm or a dual 2 ohm and about the a8000t i had it hooked to 2 sony xploid but it couldnt power them cause it went on protection like after 30 minutes at a decent volume so i had to take one out of the way but sometimes it overheated at high volumes and even tough it was winter but it never clipped with one xploid

It has 2 pos and 2 negs it goes pos neg pos neg then thats it! Is that dual 2 ohm or 4 ohm! If so is there anyway i could run a 4 ohm amp like this?

No i know what they are we are jsut confused i thought it was a 4ohm but i guess its either dual 2 ohm or just 4 ohm im confused any ways could someone verify the type of ohm this sub is? Could you tell me if a 4 ohm amp will work if not will the A8000T work for it?

If you bought the sub in the link then IMPEDENCE: 4OHMS Says so right below the picture. Dual 4 = 8 or 2 ohms. The Kenwood KAC-9152 does ~900 rms at 1 or 2 ohsm and ~500 rms at 4 ohms good amp most likely will hold up better than Audiobahn.

Dual Voice Coils 4ohms = 8 or 2 ohms. You have to run it at either 2 ohms or 8 ohms. Unless you added another sub
