A Sealed Plus Ported Box? Would it work?

A yes i was thinking if you could build a box with a sealed section plus a ported section, like say for instance you have 4 15s, you build a big box like for a suv that has 2 15s in a sealed box, just build one big box with a divider then the other section have 2 15s with a large port? would this be the best of both worlds, i mean would it be a good combination with all around sound or would it not make a difference? thanks

you could power both sets of subs with diff amps and if the subs where the same brand it would get you low and tight and give you the boost ported boxes yeild. some say no but ive ran 4 solo 8s from kcker in .33cf per sub and if the wheel well i had a kicker comp 10 i a 1.75cf ported box and it blended so well that every time someone heard it they where so impressed with the sound i was able to achive they had to look.

do it right and yes do it wrong no

Yeah, that's just a 4th order bandpass. Is this what you mean?
