A question for you

Take the sub out and see how it's wired or use a DMM to find out. I'm sure it's wired to 2 ohms.

well since i am teh ultr@ N3W8 i wouldnt be able to tell if its 2ohm by looking at the wiring unless i had a pic to go by and i have no clue what a DMM is or were to find one.

If its positive of one terminal to positive of the second terminal and the same with negative its 2 ohm. If its positive or VC1 to negative VC2 and the amp goes to Negative of VC1 and positive of VC2 its 8ohm.

alright so i took my sub out and it was wired Positive to positive negative to negative so im assuming according to the diagram that its wired at 2 ohms. So now im assuming i need a good amp that does around 500rms at 2ohms @ 1 channel. im not trying to be useful just yet just trying to learn a few things and get help.

any ways how is this amp http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_11796_Kenwood+KAC-8104D.html i basically got about 150-160 bucks to spend on a amp with shipping or i can just stick with the audiobahn i have now if i cant get much with my budget.

you need a negative and positive jumper wire and you need to parallel them to the subs terminals if it is a dual voice coil.
