hows it sound?

well I love it... but I've only used them both full range... after 6-7khz the shallow mount starts to have some nasty problems... the Omega (the larger 20mm one way version) sounds great full range... I've only actively mated it to a ribbon as of yet and it's so good it's replacing my PHL 1120's without a doubt for my midrange duties... and will likely be in my car shortly

P2P yes that would be the Xmax

however I like to only quote linear excursion in terms of flat BL unlike every other company

it's 36 mm of LINEAR excursion... KMS curve is fine within this range as well

it'll just be another week till it's sent off to some testers like promised... since the only prototype of each is with other companies for OEM work we have to make another one for testing (this wasn't really expected)

What is your favorite looking basket? (or any ideas rly... from anyone)

It may not make it into this production run but who can tell... It is quite strong as is with the 8 spokes branching into 16 but it wouldn't cost *that* much more to go a little thicker in terms of depth of the spokes... Not sure I would want to pay more for a beefier looking basket though. Any input on this topic? Or any other cosmetic issues?

I always liked the look of the Dayton reference series mids or about any seas mid has a nice basket. I like black paint.

I'd like to see something custom, but that would drive the costs up... I like the Extremis/XXX/AA Poly type bastets, the dayton RS are decent too.
