Now they are trying to work out baskets so Dylan says on SSA forums.

We have some samples in for the delta baskets and we found the right basket for the omega //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif we are waiting to hear back (early this week which I read as mon/tue) about their capabilities since we would like to make our own custom cone and we will *have* to get a custom surround tooled to support the required excursion cleanly... We are investigating (seeing if they can work with it) a new spider material as well.

As for the subs and tweeters they are going to take longer since the designs aren't quite as mature...

We already have quotes on Be and Be/Al alloy domes (expensive and still expensive but reasonable respectively...), an electronics quality diamond dome (*way* too much money) and are still waiting for quotes on some industrial quality diamond and ceramic domes.

We found a subwoofer frame that will work as well but this project wont start full steam ahead until we A. A serious competitor finds us that wants to get a prototype or two or B. come out with our midranges... Whichever happens first… This week is my finals week, this summer there will be much more time to dedicate to this. We are also considering getting a portion of our products made in china in addition to the custom variants that we assemble in house made to order.

I would like to keep everything in the SSA thread BTW... Or if you guys insist just create a new thread here instead of posting in an ancient thread that isn't relevant anymore... There are a few versions that I hope to make available. When we hear back we will find out what they can and can’t do with the cone and that will determine everything…
